A superb, flame veneered mahogany Longcase clock. Featuring an ‘8-day’ duration movement by John Scott. The arched dial showing seconds and calendar and ship automaton to the arch. This also portraying the ‘Glorious 1st June 1794’.  Delicately painted corners and arch. In addition the movement striking the hours on a single bell. The cabinet of wonderful colour and patination and superb delicate inlay work. The case standing on bracket feet and with ‘swan-neck’ pediment to the top.

Featured here a good ‘8-day’ duration mahogany Longcase clock.Case of good proportions. Arched white painted dial by Daniel Dickerson of Framlingham. The cabinet showing South Country design. Also with long trunk door with reeded sides. 2 plinths, moulding to door and dome top. In addition with solid fretwork to hood and finished with three finials.

The movement striking the hours on a single bell. The painted dial with green and gold leaf corners. Also with a painted figure to the arch. Seconds and calendar features to dial centre. Cabinet of good colour and patination. Daniel Dickerson was reportedly locked up in Framlingham castle. This was for swindling several persons out of their watches under the pretense of mending them.

A very good quality flame mahogany veneered Longcase clock.Featuring arch brass dial by Henry Jenkins of London. The dial showing matted centre and recessed and engraved seconds. Also with subsidiary calendar feature, chapter ring and spandrels. Additionally strike/silent feature to the arch. ‘8-day’ duration, 5 pillar movement striking the hours on a single bell. The cabinet of wonderful colour and patination. To sum up a fine Lonodn clock showing all the typical high quality case features.

A  good slim mahogany Longcase clock of ‘8-day duration. Featuring arched silvered brass dial by Thos Morgan of Edinburgh. The cabinet with quarter reeded columns and long trunk door. Also with cross-banding and inlay. Furthermore the base also being delicately strung and with cross-banding in mahogany. The silvered dial with seconds and calendar and with superbly engraved centre. Together with engraving to the corners and arch. The movement striking hours on a single bell.

A North country mahogany Longcase clock. Shown here arch white dial of ‘8-day’ duration by J Monkhouse of Carlisle. The cabinet with swan neck pediments to the top of the cabinet. In addition long trunk door. Also with quarter columns to trunk and reeded sides to base. The dial with gold leaf decoration and flowers to corners. Lastly a bird and gold leaf decoration to the arch. The movement striking the hours on a single bell.

An outstanding north country flame mahogany veneered Longcase clock. Featuring an arch brass dial of ‘8-day’ duration by John Kaye. The cabinet showing the finest choice mahogany veneers. Also with long trunk door with reeded quarter columns. Including OG bracket feet and swan neck pediments with blue glass/gold leaf decoration beneath.

The dial with chapter ring and spandrels, moonphase with tidal times, seconds, centre calendar and superbly matted and engraved  dial centre. Engraved above the moon is High water at Georges Dock. The movement striking the hours on a single bell. Well known Liverpool maker, this clock has huge significance.

It has engavings of places around the world so you can work out the corresponding times in these cities. The owner clearly was an important merchant. We purchased the clock from the famous Bibby family who had owned the clock for many years.

Also with recessed seconds, calendar, and moonphase to the arch. The movement striking the hours on a single bell. The cabinet with outstanding flame veneered mahogany, pierced fretwork columns to trunk sides and dome top and fretwork beneath to hood. To sum up a very collectible clock.
