Description
Bracket clock by John Walker of railway clock fame. A fine maker during the 19th and early 20th century. John Walker is listed as working from 68 Cornhill from 1861-75. Located at 230 Regent Street from 1864-75 and 76 Strand from 1871-75.
This delightful example is in a brass bound mahogany case. Together with brass ‘pineapple’ top finial. Featuring Roman Numerals to the silvered brass dial. Also with the makers name to the dial centre. Strike/silent feature to the 12 o clock position.
Lovely quality fusee movement. The movement striking the hours on a single bell. In summing up a superb collector’s clock.
