A superb 12 inch arched brass dial with automaton to the arch mahogany grandfather clock by Thomas Aldridge of Deal.
The lovely small pagoda top London quality design cabinet showing all the high quality case features of the period. Quarter reeded and brass strung trunk columns. Reeded and brass strung hood columns with brass capitals. Base panel with moulding and long trunk door with applied moulding. All with superb mahogany veneers. Pagoda top to the hood with three brass finials and fretwork beneath.
Fine quality arched brass dial with silvered dial and subsidiary seconds and calendar features and a painted scene to the arch with automaton stone throwing.
An interesting and good small size for a pagoda top clock. Fine colour and patination. Bell strike 8 day movement.
