The cabinet of superb colour and patination. Square brass dial with polished and engraved centre, chapter ring and spandrels, seconds and calendar features.

Very early and rare 8 day oak grandfather clock by John Whitehurst of Congleton.

More can be read about this eminent clockmaking family in the book by Maxwell Craven, John Whitehurst of Derby, Clockmaker and Scientist 1713-88.

This early 18th century example with square dial and polished and superbly engraved centre. Chapter ring and spandrels, seconds and calendar apertures.

The cabinet of lovely colour and patination, early oak moulding to the door, flat top to the hood with caddy top.

The lovely quality 8 day movement striking the hours on a single bell.
