A lovely early 19th century oak 8 day grandfather clock by this respected clockmaker from Ballingdon. The white painted arched dials with subsidiary seconds and calendar features. The dial with local scenes painted to the arch.

The 8 day movement of good quality striking the hours on a single bell.

The nicely proportioned oak cabinet standing on shaped plinth and wavy top frill to the hood, surmounted with three brass finials.

Henry Howes is listed as working in Ballingdon Street. He was born in 1787 I believe and started working around C1820.
