A fine 19th Century French brass, bronze and ormolu figural mantel clock, with the dial signed Cailly Freres.
Two train movement with silk suspension, outside countwheel-striking on a bell.
The case cast with a Royal figure, perhaps the Dauphin or a court academic, seated beside a tree stump holding a book, a sceptre nearby, over stepped base with acanthus and foliate scroll decoration.
Lovely French clock of superb condition and good design.
