Description
A lovely black ebonised twin fusee bell strike pad top bracket clock from the late 18th century.
The arched brass dial with chapter ring and spandrels, finely matted centre, strike/silent feature to the arch and a silvered cartouche with the maker’s name engraved to the dial centre.
The cabinet of good small size and with brass strung pad top, surmounted by a carrying handle. Glazed side windows revealing lovely movement and brass trim to the case and standing on brass shaped feet.
The fine quality twin fusee movement with plain backplate and pendulum holdfast. The movement striking on a bell.
