Shown here a good quality ‘8-day’ London mahogany Longcase clock. Together with arch brass dial C1790 by Edward Frodsham.

The cabinet showing the typical high quality London case features. Clearly using choice mahogany veneers. The dial with finely polished and engraved centre. In addition seconds and calendar. Also strike silent feature to the arch and cartouche with makers name. Very elegant clock with brass strung reeded hood capitals. Fretwork to pagoda top hood. Moulding to the long trunk door and to the raised panel of the base. The clock standing on two plinths, the bottom plinth being nicely cut out wavy design.

Featuring high quality 5-pillar movement striking the hours on a single bell. To sum up a lovely grandfather clock.

Foots Cray is an area of south east London. The River Cray passes through the village.
