The fine mahogany case with dome top hood and with a glazed front door. Chamfered sides to the trunk and with an inset oval panel to the base.

The silvered brass arched 8 in. dial engraved with foliate scrolls,’CHIME / SILENT’ indicator to the arch. ‘Gillett & Johnston / Croydon’ cartouche to the dial centre.’WHITTINGTON / WESTMINSTER’ selection lever at the IX.

The high quality twin train weight-driven movement (patented device for allowing quarters and hours on one train), numbered ‘15565’. With Harrison’s maintaining power and deadbeat escapement with fine adjustment to the crutch. Chiming the quarters on nine straight steel rods mounted to the case backboard.
