A good French gilt brass four-glass mantel clock. This clock being in the Empire Revival style The date being circa 1900, signed Maple & Co., Paris.
The brass case with bevelled glass panels with chimera to the front. Above fluted three-quarter uprights with baluster stems, on chimera relief-moulded plinth and four bracket feet.
3.5inch circular white enamel dial, with Roman Numerals. Pierced blued steel hands with two train 8 day movement by S. Marti, Paris No. 137 44. Stamped ‘MAPLE & Co. LTD., PARIS’, striking on a bell.
