Signed to the dial maker to the Royal Observatory, a very fine clockmaker. This example being a high precision '8 day' example with round silvered brass dial and mahogany cabinet. Wonderful mahogany veneers to cabinet and glass trunk door revealing mercury pendulum. The movement of superb quality with 6 spoke wheel work, dead-beat escapement, jewelled pallets, 6 pillars and various other high quality features. Very good provenance known about this clock, a very desirable example.
