A very rare, 'Battersea Enamel Dial', '8-day' Longcase clock. In the 40 years of trading we have only ever seen about 2/3 of these very rare collectable clocks. On a Longcase size dial I believe only a few were ever made. It is believed the famous clockmaker James Tregent's brother manufactured these dials. This example is in superb condition. The cabinet is along the classical London design. A superb collector's clock by a well respected clockmaker. Fine colour and patination to cabinet. Movement striking the house on a single bell.
