A superb quality arch brass dial '8-day' London mahogany Longcase clock. The cabinet showing all the typical high quality London case features and of superb colour and patination. The dial with finely matted centre, seconds and calendar, strike silent feature to the arch and cartouche with makers name. The 5-pillar movement striking the hours on a single bell. Listed as an eminent clockmaker by Baillie, m.C.C. 1755
