A superb flame veneered mahogany, quality arch brass dial '8-day' London Longcase clock. The cabinet showing all the typical high quality London case features and of superb colour and patination. The dial with finely matted centre, recessed seconds and calendar, strike silent feature to the arch and cartouche with makers name. The 5-pillar movement striking the hours on a single bell. This clock has a history written to the back of the door, it has a receipt where it was owned and purchased by Rudyard Kipling, the famour author.
