Wall Clocks

We repair ‘Wall Clocks’ to the highest order, click here to enquire

We have a large collection of antique wall clocks for sale dating from the early 18th century to the 20th century.

We have for sale English, Viennese and German clocks. The English clocks tend to be spring driven fusee movements.

The cabinets on these clocks are either veneered in walnut, ebonized, lacquer work, mahogany or fruitwood like on various other clocks.

The Viennese or German wall clocks tend to be weight driven movements, and we occasionally have seconds beating examples of these.

These clocks are easy to fix in any home, usually a small hole is drilled and a raw plug and screw fitted. The clock will simply hang on this screw.

Most movements tend to go for a period of 8 days on a wind. Wall clocks are great timekeepers and can easily keep to a few seconds a week. Most the German and Austrian examples are regulators.

The dials on the English examples tends to be either painted or silvered brass. On the continental examples a lot are porcelain.

All our clocks are sympathetically restored to high standards in our own workshops and are guaranteed.
